We are delighted that you are considering buying a home here with us at Sand le Mere. Our aim is to make the purchase of a caravan holiday home here in Yorkshire as straightforward as possible.

If you are interested in a caravan for sale on the Yorkshire coast, we have created a list of questions for you to consider about holiday home ownership, to help you decide whether it is the right lifestyle choice for you and your family.

Follow our five steps to holiday home ownership for a stress free route to making the choice that is right for you, your family and your future life as a holiday home owner.

Step 1: Find the right holiday village

Choosing the right destination is key to a happy holiday lifestyle. Consider your travel times if you plan to visit for regular short breaks, and decide whether you want coast, countryside or a mixture of the two.

Are you looking for absolute peace and quiet, or somewhere with a bit of nightlife? Cutting costs by looking at caravans for sale in Yorkshire on a park which perhaps has no facilities is not a great idea if your holiday lifestyle turns dreary and dull after a few nights.

Sand le Mere is best for: coast and countryside, activities to suit all age groups on your doorstep, family-friendly nightlife.

Step 2: Consider the costs

A static caravan for sale in Yorkshire will cost anything from £14,995 to £89,995+ and we can arrange finance packages to help you spread the cost (subject to status). Our luxury lodges start from £89,995.

As with any home there are running costs to consider, including yearly site fees plus your energy bill and insurance. Site fees cover all the amenities on park and grounds maintenance plus local authority rates and water charges. Gas and electric is charged separately and you will also need to take out insurance to cover any unforeseen issues with your holiday home.

One way to offset some of these costs is to sublet your holiday home to holidaymakers – we would be happy to provide more details on this.

Step 3: Choose a holiday home

At Sand le Mere, we have a range of static caravans and holiday lodges for sale in Yorkshire, so we are confident that we have something to suit all tastes and budgets.

It’s a good idea to consider what is important to you when looking at the various types of holiday homes. For example, if you have children or grandchildren, will two bedrooms be enough or would an extra bedroom help?  Is a large kitchen important to you or would you prefer more space in the living area?

We have a showground on park for you to see all the different models, so a visit here is highly recommended.

Step 4: Find the right location

When you’ve picked your holiday village and static caravan, the next step is to find a pitch that will suit your needs most closely.
Ask yourself these questions: Do I want to be near to the beach, lake or woodlands, or close to the pool and entertainments? Do I want a quiet pitch or a short walk to the leisure complex? Do I need wheelchair access? Would I prefer piped gas or a bottle?

Step 5: Becoming an owner
