Easter breaks in Yorkshire at Sand le Mere

Easter. It’s all about the chocolate, right? Just how many Easter eggs can you (or your kids) eat in one day without rotting your teeth?

Actually there is more to this time of year than chocolate eggs, as good as they are… It’s also a great time of year to visit the Yorkshire coast. With the temperature rising and the days getting longer it’s a popular time for breaks away to the region, with lots to see and do.

Easter breaks at our Yorkshire holiday park are all about egg hunts, walks on the beach and days out at top family attractions! At Sand le Mere, you’re best placed to see all that the region has to offer PLUS you’re only a stone’s throw away from dozens of Easter-themed events taking place locally. Here’s just some of our favourites…

Easter breaks in Yorkshire – local events guide

  • Easter egg trail at Burton Agnes Hall & Gardens, April 21-22: Head over to this grand venue for a fun-filled day of Easter-themed fun and activities! Children are invited to take part in an Easter trail around the magnificent grounds of the Hall, solving clues while exploring the extensive gardens. Once the conundrum has been solved, every child will receive an Easter treat. There are puzzles to solve and games to play, while in the craft tent children can get creative with colouring. Excitingly, there is a giant golden egg to find, which the Easter Bunny has been hidden somewhere in the grounds!
  • Have a Field Day at Hornsea, April 5: Taking place on Hornsea South Promenade, this free event offers a host of activities including: Giant Inflatable Volleyball and Dodgeball, Inflatable Bungee Run, Clip n Climb, Street Stadia Soccer, Archery (8+), Sumo Suits / Knock your block off, Biking for all with the Road Safety Team plus a range of Sport & Play activities, including tennis, volleyball, netball, football, giant lego, bead making, face painting and much more. The same event will take place in Withernsea the following day.
  • Sewerby Hall & Gardens’ Easter Family Fun Day, April 6-21: Why not come along and enjoy some Easter fun and games, which take place over three weeks. Activities include an Easter Trail, Family Fun Day and even and Easter Bonnet Making workshop
