We all know that you can’t beat a good portion of proper fish ‘n’ chips (preferably wrapped in newspaper!). And we believe the Yorkshire coast region has the best chippies serving up the tastiest traditional fish ‘n’ chips in the country!
What better place to enjoy the unmistakable taste than by the sea as you look out over the harbour of one of the region’s picturesque seaside towns and villages? But with so many chippies out there, which ones should you visit during your stay at our Yorkshire holiday park?
To help you narrow down your choices we’ve put together a list of just some of our favourite that are only a short drive away.
Best fish ‘n’ Chips in East Yorkshire
Newton’s Fish ‘n’ Chips, Patrington
Boasting a great selection and varied menu, Newton’s has a strong local following and wins praise for its ultra-modern ship and pleasant staff.
Kingfisher Fish And Chips:
If you’re heading into Hull then why not make this your lunchstop? It has standout reviews on TripAsdvisor for its quick service and friendly staff.
Papa’s is a chippy with a great reputation, having recently tasted success (excuse the pun) at the National Fish & Chip Awards. Not only does it dish up great food but it also houses a fishing museum for diners. Booking can sometimes be required should you wish to eat in the restaurant, however.
The Golden Haddock, Withernsea
Just a short drive from our holiday park is the Golden Haddock, which is a popular choice with locals. One TripAdvisor reviewer said: “You cant go to withernsea without treating yourselves to fish and chips from the golden haddock they are lovely”. And we tend to agree with him…
Also in Withernsea is the Lifeboat Café, which serves up lots of different dishes as well as good old fish ‘n’ chips! One TripAdvisor reviewer said “This is the best fish and chips I’ve had in years, the staff are brilliant but their food is amazing”. Hard to question a review like that!
